No one knows why, but Australian’s love suitcases. Whether you prefer the ones that are soft to touch, or you like yours to be durable and sturdy, suitcases are a favourite amongst avid travellers.
Good news is, ALDI has introduced a Special Buys sale specially dedicated to different types of luggage, with the most sought after being the two-piece Skylite set for $99.99 a pair.
And the list of features is impressive, with smooth rolling spinner wheels and strong lockable zippers, the pair of suitcases are light and practical with the largest being 70cm and the smaller at 55cm.
ALDI is famous for many things, and who knew suitcases were one of them. In the past, comparison site Choice ranked ALDI’s luggage to be on the same quality level as luxury brand Samsonite.
Choice ranked ALDI’s suitcases an overall score of 86 per cent, while Samsonite ranked only one per cent more at 87 per cent.
But if you’re not looking for a suitcase, then no problem, as they have everything covered.
Also included in the Special Buys sale is the Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones at $69.99, and the Executive Backpack at $39.99. And if you’re on the hunt for a travel accessory pack then look no further, as the German supermarket will be selling one containing a travel wallet, leather wallet, mini travel bag, passport wallet, shoe shine kit, manicure set, handkerchief set or toilet bag for only $14.99.
Only problem? These sales can cause chaos. According to personal financial expert at Finder, Kate Brown, “Aussies love a bargain, so it’s no wonder ALDI sales attract such a crowd.”
And her tip when it comes to scoring the best bargain – “it’s always wise to make a list so you don’t overspend. Set yourself a budget, browse the catalogue and have an idea of what you’re prepared to buy. This will also lead to a speedier exit.”
The Special Buys sale kicks off at ALDI stores around the country on Wednesday, April 17.
