Kerri-Anne Kennerley has opened up about her biggest struggle since the death of her husband John in February.

In a new interview, the 65-year-old TV host said apart from dealing with grief from the loss, she is also finding difficulties with finalising John’s estate.

“It’s not just missing someone that’s been hard, but tying up his affairs and dealing with a lot of legal-type stuff,” she said. “There’s a lot of paperwork to do and I’m not great at paperwork, that was John’s domain.”

In her first TV appearance after the death two weeks ago, Kennerley also revealed that John’s passing was “a terrible shock”.

“The hole it leaves in your life is so painful, it’s the hole that will never be filled,” she told her colleagues on Studio 10. “It’s not fair but life happens.”

In late February, Kennerley took to Instagram to confirm that John passed away at the age of 78 from pneumonia. The couple had been married for 35 years.

“As you all know, John has faced some tremendous challenges over the past few years and with each he has been extraordinarily brave and determined to overcome those hurdles and live a normal life,” Kennerley wrote alongside a picture from her wedding with John.

In 2016, John got into an accident in a Coffs Harbour party and experienced an injury that left him partially paralysed, 10 daily reported.
