Matthew Broderick decided on spending some quality time with his family before he heads off for his West End debut.

The 56-year-old actor was spotted enjoying a courtside game for the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden on Sunday with his doppelganger son.

Opting for a pair of red corduroy slacks, the Ferris Bueller’s Day Off star was in high spirits as he watched his hometown team play.

Accessorising his look with a pair of simple black frames, Broderick chose to keep his hair slicked towards the side.

16-year-old James Wilkie looked all grown up as he sat next to his father with a huge smile plastered across his face.

Wearing a black turtleneck with grey jeans, the father-and-son duo sat with The Daily Show host Trevor Noah who seemed to be just as excited about watching a game of basketball. 

Matthew and 53-year-old Sarah Jessica are also parents to nine-year-old twins, Marion Loretta Elwell Broderick and Tabitha Hodge Broderick.
